Upon remembering this from the film i feel that this sums up the film very well. It is about status and the characters as people. Sabrinas father is warning Linus that he should remember that he is of much higher class than his daughter and is very much aware and cautious that they should not become involved with one another. I do think it is ironic that the chaffeur is positioned to the front of the car, which tells me that the higher position of a person is normally eye facing, wheras it is Linus Larabee (the superior) that is resting in the back seat; which normally has connotations of inferior status. This is a reflection of the amount of power and control he has though. This also could be perceived that the characters are trying to break boundaries as they have built a good honest relationship together and can work together in harmonious balance.
